He is married to Diane. They are blessed with five children Ryan Dylan Maranda Tyler and Megan. They have 2 dogs 2 cats 2 geckos & 4 turtles.

Dr. John has coached and sponsored many teams in Kent Recreation. He has served on the Town of Kent Recreation Commission.

He has coached in the Kent Knight Football Program.

He is member of the Carmel Chapter of Business Network International since 1996.

He grew up in Carmel New York attending Carmel Highschool graduating in 1984. In 2010 he was inducted into the Carmel Highschool Hall of Fame for his dedication to serving the Carmel Central School District Sports Teams.
